This little slice of Suffolk is really special and well worth sharing, and we hope that the rustic setting has a charm and character that will appeal to other like minded, gentle folk like you.
Checking in:
- Arrival time is anytime from 12pm. (Departures by 11am).
- On arrival, please stop at ‘The Shippen’ just to let us know you are here. We always like to greet our guests and welcome you in.
- If we are unavailable, pitch allocations are written on the blackboard, so you can simply continue to the camping field to pitch up. If your name is not on the board for any reason e.g. a late booking, and we are not here to greet you, please choose a free pitch! We'll pop over to see you as soon as we can!
- Follow the signs to the camping field - diagonally across the yard & grass, in front of stables.
- Pitch up - and relax!
- Each pitch is numbered: Sunny pitch (electric) 1-9 (non electric) from left - right/clockwise. Pitch 10 center - pre erected tent pitch.
- We ask that you and your party read the site rules & information found in the grey recycling waste boxes.
Please note:
- Drive slowly & be aware of other vehicles, animals and children on site.
- Please refer to the site map where public/guest access is permitted.
- Be familiar with our fire emergency procedure (see notice at washing up area). Muster point is on the yard.
- This is a no smoking site. Extinguish cigarettes before entering the camping field.
- Children must be supervised at all times – please take really good care!
- The play equipment & wooded areas on site include rope swings, a playhouse, trampolines, stepping logs & climbing trees. We allow well behaved, kind & sensible children to share & use at your own risk. Parent/carers must take full responsibility, as we cannot accept liability for any accident or injury - no matter how caused.
- Well behaved dogs are welcome, but all dogs must be kept on leads at all times!
- Do not allow your dog to poop on the camping field!
- Please always adhere to the countryside code, on site and when out and about.
- BBQs & fires to be kept off the grass. Cold coals & ash in the metal ash bin only.
- Toilet chemicals MUST be eco/environmentally friendly as we have a septic tank - not mains! Please ask us if you want to dispose of any toilet waste.
- Please sort your rubbish and recycle as much as possible. Use the grey box to separate anything recyclable (dispose loose materials in the blue paladin bin). Use the bin bag provided for all non recyclable waste (bagged disposal in green paladin bin).
- Glass crate - for bottles & jars
- Paper/card/metal/plastic - blue recycling bin
- Fruit/veg/natural/organic waste - compost bin

- Pitches to be vacated by 11am on your day of departure.
- Please empty your grey recycling box & safely empty & return your fire pit (if you hired one!)
